About Us

Lucas House and Garden was launched by husband and wife team  James and Kim Lucas in 2005.  Drawing on their decades of industry experience, they were determined to create a unique customer focused enterprise.  Humble beginnings have quickly grown into a thriving small business, now comprising a total of eight dedicated staff.

James is the company manager and senior horticulturalist. James’s horticultural career began in the 90’s with labouring work at several landscape companies. He completed his diploma of horticulture in 2002 at NMIT Greensborough.  James’s experience also includes three years working at Poynton’s Nursery in Essendon, working at various garden maintenance firms thereafter.

Kim is the interior decorator at Lucas House and Garden.  She completed her advanced certificate of Interior Decoration at RMIT in 1996.  She has worked as an interior decoration consultant to both commercial and domestic clientele. Kim is also a fully qualified florist and has enjoyed producing floral displays for clients such as Versace and the Mahogany room at Crown casino.

All employees at Lucas House and Garden are dedicated to providing the highest quality of client services available.  This is possible with their high levels of qualification and experience.  Five members of our horticultural team have completed horticultural certificates of level 3 or higher.
